On November 5, 2007, EIF and the Callaway Golf Foundation hosted the first ever Callaway Golf Foundation Challenge to benefit groundbreaking cancer research projects supported by EIF.
This significant fundraising event paired leading professional golfers with celebrated actors and other famous personalities for a round of golf in a "modified best ball" tournament format. During the event, amateur golfers had a chance to work on their technique at the Annika Sorenstam-David Leadbetter Clinic and received a chance to enter the "Hit A Car, Win A Car" contest to win a brand new Mercedes-Benz.
Proceeds from the event support EIF's Cancer Research Programs to fast track better prevention methods and improved therapies for ovarian, breast, colon and prostate cancers. In addition to Callaway Golf, Mercedes-Benz and Pravda Vodka were also sponsors.
