Stand Up To Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org), a new initiative to raise philanthropic dollars for accelerating ground-breaking research, is an unprecedented collaboration uniting the major television networks, entertainment industry executives, celebrities and prominent leaders in cancer research and patient advocacy.

Through our Women's Cancer Programs, the Entertainment Industry Foundation is committed to saving lives by raising awareness about the importance of early detection of breast and reproductive cancers, providing funds to advance research on treatment and early detection methods, and supporting community programs that assist the millions of women at risk of or affected by cancer as well as their families.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer kill in the United States, but is highly preventable, and is successfully treated 90% of the time when detected early. That’s why EIF has teamed up with the Centers for Disease Control, and other leading organizations to make people aware of this disease and encourage them to get screened appropriately. Diabetes is a growing health concern in the United States. An estimated 20.8 million Americans have diabetes, of which 6.2 million are undiagnosed. Diabetes, if not treated properly, can lead to serious complications including blindness, kidney damage, heart disease and amputations.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation and Novo Nordisk have joined forces to fight the growing burden of diabetes through a national educational campaign, called Diabetes Aware. The campaign informs Americans about the importance of diabetes detection, monitoring and proper management of this progressive disease.

The Entertainment Industry Foundation strongly believes that arts education is a vital part of a child’s development, fostering creativity, promoting individuality and self-confidence, and improving academic performance.
